Merav Israel - Bharatanatyam
Merav has 15 years of studies and professional work in dance, choreography and teaching. She has been training under Priya Shrikumar for more than 3 years in bharatanatyam and mohiniyatam. She also performs Indian classical dance in Scotland with Dance Ihayami.

 

Vijay Kangutkar - Tabla
Vijay has lived in Scotland for 15 years where he is the country’s only full time Hindustani classical musician. He has been a dedicated teacher with IMDCOLL since it began in 1997. He teaches also for The Scottish Academy of Asian Arts and Strathclyde Council. He is a wholly dedicated musician and teacher of the rich heritage of the Farukhbad style. Born of a musical family in Mumbai, Vijay learned from the great master Pandit Taranath Rao.

 

Prakriti Prakritti Dutta - Vocal
Prakriti Dutta is one of the most promising Dhrupad vocalists of her generation. Following her training, she worked as a music teacher in Kolkata. She is presently undertaking research at the University of Edinburgh on Indian Music Therapy for Mentally Challenged Children and also teaches at The Scottish Academy of Asian Arts and Sense Scotland. Prakriti has two Dhrupad albums to her credit and has toured extensively in Europe and India.
Anuj Kapilashrami - Bollywood
Ms. Anuj Kapilashrami has been performing, choreographing and teaching Indian dance for several years. With former training in kathak and bharatnatyam, folk and jazz, Anuj offers a unique style blending together rich folk and classical traditions of India with western styles. Anuj views dance as an art form as well as therapy, a medium through which participants express and engage with themselves and their peers. Anuj also works with DanceIhayami, SAAA (Glasgow) and is a member of Swar Yatra and Twisters.
