Vocal group: bandish in raag yeman
Our vocal group perform khyal set in tintal (16 beats). Khyal (meaning 'thoughts' or 'fantasy') is one of the two main classical vocal forms in inorth indian music.

Our tabla students perform a series of rhythmic compositions and improvisations set in tintal (16 beats). Tabla are a set of tuned drums and form the main percussion instrument in north indian music.

Prakriti sings in both Dhrupad and Khyal style. Here she sings in khyal style. The main line of the bandish (composition) is interspersed by short improvisations .
Dhun is a common instrumental form. It is basically nothing more than an instrumental version of a folk song. In this case the Dhun is set in Kerewa (8 beats).
Dance in praise of Lord Ganapethy, the elephant-headed god. He is the remover of obstacles, fear and misery, his big belly contains all the universes past, present and future.
